Concéntrico Festival 06
Concéntrico is Logroño’s International Festival of Architecture and Design, which reflects on the urban environment and the city. This sixth edition was held from 3 to 6 September 2020 and opened up the city after months of restrictions imposed by the global pandemic. The Festival invited visitors to wander around the city through installations, exhibitions, and activities that created new links between the squares, streets, courtyards and hidden spaces that usually go unnoticed in their daily lives. Since 2015, the festival has brought together 59 urban installations in its five editions, in addition to the 14 interventions that took place in 2020.
Storey Studio was invited by Javier Peña-Ibañez to participate with an installation at Plaza San Bartolomé. We designed a colourful courtyard with an interior aromatic garden that created an oasis in the city, a space to contemplate and connect. We took inspiration from the natural landscape in La Rioja to work with locally sourced plants, in collaboration with plant nursery Espacios Verdes.
